4 is a good number

Isn't she gorgeous!
Life has settled down quite a bit for us. Jeff is back in school, Emma is growing and Noah's tantrums most days are pretty slim. Jeff and I are both exhausted even though Emma sleeps 4 hours at a time.

We're having a lot of fun as a family of four. Noah is an amazing big brother--giving Emma a pacifier even before she knows she wants it. He sits and holds her, plays with her, hands us things we need for her, and supervises her eating and being changed. At our two week appointment, Emma weighed 5# 5 oz and we did the monitoring for her to be in her car seat. She passed, but she's so tiny that the straps don't tighten as much as they should. She is becoming a lot more alert and loves her daddy! She looks around whenever she hears his voice which is really neat to see! She is a snuggler already and hates sleeping alone in her bed at night and sleeps mainly on her side (she rolls over when i put her on her back). Her stomach is pretty sensitive so we're working on foods that make her happy. So far we think its mainly onions that bother her.
Noah seems to be growing as well. I'm not sure if he really is or if he just feels bigger after holding a 5 lb baby. He's becoming a lot more independent and puts up all our towels and his clothes without being asked (which is actually helpful sometimes). He holds my hand every time Emma eats and if he doesn't I'm usually worried about what he's getting into.

We've had lots of fun/interesting moments with me not being able to give him constant attention.
For instance, that white lump on the top of his head is mashed potatoes. Today he dumped Gold Bond all over our bed and yesterday my coffee table had peanut butter coating it. :) It's really hard to scold him when he's so cute or when he's cracking up because he's throwing our clean clothes on the floor.
Today is also a big day--it is my due date which means Emma is no longer negative and isn't referred to as an age of pregnancy weeks. Most likely for the first year or two she's going to be about a month behind or more on what she can do, but thats okay. We plan on celebrating with pizza and cupcakes tomorrow!

My birthday was also GREAT! Jeff and I had an adult only meal at Olive Garden YUM:) we haven't done that since before I was pregnant. Nana and Grandpa Dan enjoyed our kiddos for this excursion. Thanks for all the gifts and birthday wishes!
